Tightening Centrestand

Hello RC24 owners. Does any one have a tip for holding the pivot still from the inner end whilst tightening the centrestand outer nut on each side?
And yes, I am aware of the need to tighten the right side anti-clockwise- (experience gained when undoing the things when fitting new stand!

So an ‘88/‘89 model? I believe the ‘nuts’ for each side should have flats to allow use of an open ended spanner on them.

Indeed they do, PAD. Not sure of the size, but will be fairly chunky (i.e. more than 20mm). Glad to hear you're forewarned of the LH thread trap. Back in the early 90s I sheared the head off the offending bolt, certain in the knowledge that I was undoing it. And this was the day before I was due to go on a biking holiday in France...
