Hi Folks, here comes my plug for the Isle Of Wight tourist board, not sure if any of you guys have been down to my Island, but if you have you'll probably be aware of the famous 'Military Road', a 14 mile stretch that runs east to west along the Islands picturesque Jurassic South West coast from the village of Niton to Freshwater Bay. It is, & has been a Mecca for scratchers and sports tourers alike, and the good news is..............the Islands Highways Division, in its infinite wisdom has just resurfaced the entire stretch :Saeufer:, took the FJ along there on Sunday & it is now 14 miles of gorgeous twisting new Tarmac, so if you're thinking of somewhere to come for a long weekend next summer, it's a pretty place when the weather's on your side & there's some excellent pubs en route:sun_smiley:............that's it..........plug over

Not that I'm aware of, sadly with the current demise of the British Police force, the Island has very few enforcements, indeed, rumour has it that as little as 3 cars cover the Island on any Saturday night :yikes:, there are a handful of S/Cams in some of the larger towns but nobody is really sure if they are active, and 1 mobile van. Most scratchers ie the R1, Gixers, Fireblades, & Panagali pilots get out to the Military Road very early most Sunday's, but they're quite an accommodating bunch & will normally give you room as they hurtle past at some ridiculous speed. :beer-toast1:
