Leaky Scottoiler reservoir

I have a Scottoiler v-system on my VFR800, with the reservoir positioned exactly as shown in Scottoiler's fitting instructions, so quite close to horizontal. I find that the reservoir leaks a bit, and I suspect it's coming from the neck / adjustment ring area.

Does anyone else with the same set-up experience the same leakage, or do I have a faulty reservoir?

Thanks

Scottoiler think the same and suggested a mod to the filler bung, which I'll try, but I'm not convinced it's coming out there. I try not to overfill it as well.

Mine used to seep a bit from the adjuster ring on the 1050. Just collected dirt and felt damp rather than a drip. I believe Fraser at Scot oiler can and will repair it if you ask him if its significant ?

Never had a problem with mine on the Sprint, had the reservoir cable-tied to the subframe strut, much closer to vertical.

The filler bung mod seems to have made a significant difference: basically bulk out the bung with a short piece of the nib tubing. There was still some residue but that could have been from before the bung-mod, so I gave it all a good clean up yesterday and put a fresh piece of paper shop-towel under the reservoir to detect any further spillage.

I'm not sure I'll get many more chances to test it this year. We had our first sighting of the gritters over the weekend and my VFR usually goes into winter hibernation.
