Firstly, sorry for not being here much of late and doing anything with the AGRO, just had a lot of things going on in real-life as it were and been organising the club trip to the Auvergne, which is also in May and has 30 members on :h:

So, anyway, I've been thinking for a while now that we should do a long weekend across the ditch. A little introduction to La Belle France for those of you who haven't been over there on your bikes yet and for those who have... well I hardly need to sing its praises do I ? :d:

So this is just to see if there is any interest. I'm suggesting three nights, Thursday 12th May out - Sunday 15th back, staying in or around St Omer. From there we can show you some of the great roads in that area, maybe dive over into Belgium for those of you who'd like to fill a pannier or two with cheap booze or baccy and certainly ride the coast road to Le Touquet for lunch one day.

The club can book the crossing and the hotel, as we get an excellent discounts on both, and we'll enjoy the usual piss-taking and banter with a healthy portion of good food :lick:

So, quick poll please...
Please only vote of you ARE COMING :dunce:.
Voting is public, so your name will appear alongside your choice.

Coast Road to Le Touquet...

Sorry to sound particularly thick Keith but how can you vote for anything other than option one if that's the case. :dunno:

Or maybe this is a way of you getting what you want :d:

What I mean is, please don't vote to say that you want to stay in the UK if you aren't coming anyway :goofy: . That might sound obvious, but last time quite a lot of people voted on a venue, but then didn't come :bang:

I'm afraid I've got off to a bad start with this as I picked a weekend when I can't actually organise it :dunce: Sorry, please note it would be Thursday 12th not 5th .

The only other weekend around then I could organise something is 28th April, would that be a better date?

Having been a sponsor for a few years now I fancied that this year would be my first AGRO.

Unfortunatly an AGRO for a couple of days in France its a lot of miles for me to do from where I am in the north, so will pass i am afraid.

I am also going to France for a full week in the summer.

Enjoy yourselves.

I'm always up for something like this Keith, previous trips in this area have been good fun, and the roads surprisingly clear and good. I'll just need to confirm the dates with work.

We're going to organise another weekend in France now Brian but later in the year, probably along the lines of the Baccy Run we did last year.

Keep your eye on the Star at the top of the page, it'll change colour when any new club events are finalised.

Hi Keith
I am very sad that this one has been kicked into touch --- please could we try and organise another, particularly as the longer French trip has clashed with a holiday we had arranged a long time ago. I guessed it would when we discussed it last year -- Sod's Law :bang:

Was gutted as i was not available for this trip which would have been perfect for me and the wife for our first cross channel excursion. Will keep my eye out for the re arranged date and hopefully will be available.

Hi David
I've consulted the diary and Management and the following dates would be possible

May 5th - 17th
June 3rd - 9th
14th - 23rd

After that life gets a bit more complicated but if none of the above are OK for you we could look a little further ahead.
It would be good to go sooner rather than later so, hopefully, something can be arranged --- I've had the new toy a month and haven't quite done a hundred miles yet!!

Happy to start organising this now, let's pick a date and run wth it. I can do anytime other than the last week of May.

Hi Keith
I expect the Wobbly one will wake up soon and have an input but in the meanwhile any time in the above dates suits me. Mid week is always preferable but that is possibly selfish!!
