Interview

Today is being spent preparing for a job interview tomorrow.

I have my fingers crossed, legs crossed, in fact anything that can be crossed is crossed.

My presentation is ready, shoes shined, haircut done, travel arrangements sorted....

It has been many many years since I had to go to a formal interview, thinking about it, probably 1976 when I had my formal interview to join the Police, so I am starting to get a little nervous now.

Oh well, all I can do is give it my best...

When you get asked a panel question, pause for 5 seconds before responding.

Use that time to ask yourself, what is it that they are really asking and structure your response accordingly.

Good luck Tony

:beer-toast1: Hope it went well TC
I have no idea how I did as they were not letting on or giving anything away.

I was one of 5 being interviewed going for one job and that is just today and I don't know how many more have gone before or will follow.

I will be notified within a week if I have made it to second interview, but I am working on the basis that I blew it so that when they say no, I won't be dissapointed.

glad I retired a couple of years ago, all this second or third interviews reminds me that I went for job interviews got the job and they knew fairly quickly if you were any good or not, it's too complicated now I reckon and so is much of 'modern' living and I sure as hell would not want to be a school kid these days!!

I’ve been in my current role for 21 years now; I had 4 interviews and a skills test for it. Christ knows what’s involved these days!

Wishing you best of luck with the result TC. Last job interview for me was as a result of me sending a letter asking if the company had any positions available, interview and trial day in the office was all it took to create a job that they didn't know they had available :)
