Honda CTX 1300

Anyone ridden one and care to share your experience? It's a rare thing this "Miniwing", fitted with a detuned Pan European engine at its heart. Ahuh, a V4 bagger.

In the interests of slowing down and smelling the roses, so to speak, this now deleted bike from the Honda range is of interest, perhaps? You'll note from the photo that the rear pipes are actually 'fake' and just there to add a bit of shiny. Begging for a decat and nice set of slash cut pipes if you ask me.... :)

I thought it was quite a nice restyle that cried out to be carried over to the Pan, but why oh why the detune? I just don’t get Hondas obsession with detuning engines to create lesser models.

Perhaps a 'full fat' Pan motor would have eaten into Goldwing sales too much? Mind you, I don't think the Wing sells by the bucket load and neither did the CTX, perhaps because it lacked a full power Pan motor and a sixth gear? It's still an interesting motorcycle and one I'll keep an eye on. It also looks pretty good in red.

Okay. Anyone, even including Honda CTX1300 exhaust, experts, actually ridden one? :hydrogen:

Here's the man responsible for the design concept giving us the benefit.... And even he's bleeting on about the, exhausts.... lol

Fraid not, only sat on one at the nec show a few moons back. I honestly dont think I’ve seen a single one anywhere else. I’d guess they’ve probably only actually sold a handfull, and most of them were probably demo bikes to start with.
Cheers dude. If it's meant to be? one will be available to try next year. My big concern would be going from an 160bhp K1300s to a 78hp cruiser - it might feel like I'm riding everywhere with the handbrake on? lol.
