I'd like to think it might happen, hopefully within half a country from me.So is it happening?
Friday April 26 to Sunday April 28 what say we pick a travelodge/inn with a pub next to it.
Hi Paul, you are correct PAD's Shropshire Shenanigans covered all bases, however as I said about the White Peaks tour in a previous post it would be nice to keep this event seperate rather than it getting unwieldy with too large a number of people.Doesnt the shropshire venue cover all bases ? camping, B&b, bunkhouse, Hotels and a pub that serves probably the best steaks anywhere in the uk ?
What he saidI have attended a number of Agro and Anni Bashes over the past 5 years and the numbers of people who attended have been extremely varied.
I believe this to be mainly the location of the venue.
It was also mentioned last year that a lot of members are excluded due to the cost of the accommodation as the Hotels are usually a minimum of ?50 a night which can make it an expensive weekend when you add both fuel and food and beer for someone on a tight budget.
Therefore I feel the criteria for a successful, well attended Agro is.
1. A good reasonably priced Hotel for the people who don?t like to slum it!
2. Possibly a hostel of B&B?s local.
3. A good pub local either part of the hotel (which will take non residence) or in walking distance that can cater for 20-40 people.
4. A campsite within walking distance of the pub.
All the above need to be in a good central location of the country with some brilliant biking roads on the doorstep.
If the location is fairly central then it will mean the maximum number of people will come as they won?t be travelling hundreds of miles to get there.
