Hi - I am not sure if you are still here, but I have 2 RS 50th Anniversary VFRs. No. 33 and 45. Looking to sell at least one of them
    Cheers

I've always been tempted to buy one of the other models probably the blade, don't know if I'd want to own 2 the same. Are they still in standard trim/ condition?
Good luck with any pending sale.

I like the V&M blackbird but happy with the 50th anni viffer to be honest.
What are you asking for yours out of interest?
    Cheers,

I'd spotted that, it looks very clean. There's a VTR 50th on there as well.

Hi, just joined so had to respond.
Mine is number 30, has covered 68,000 miles and a reason for joining here is to chat to owners of any other survivors.
We've only ever met one other, many moons ago.
Recently back from a trip to the Black Forest, guided on the best roads by members of the German arm of the VFR Owners Club.

Welcome to the most exclusive group on the forum, a maximum of 50 members eligible. Sightings are very rare - possibly due to low mileage of some bikes.

Yes they are out there and we are slowly locating them. Was told recently one one in Fife owned by a father then son since new. Trying to confirm the number on the plaque.

Many thanks, good to see your list of 50ths found so far; it would be amazing if we could organize a re-union!
Must be others, maybe the owners are not aware of this site.
Mine's stock other than a Power Commander, K & N Filter, and a carbon composite cover on the original Remus can, plus stainless pipes.

A get together was suggested a while back but at a time when relatively few owners details were known but now with potentially 12 uk owners identified this could be pulled together.
Looking at no 33 for sale on eBay makes me want to give mine some TLC but as its in regular use this would have to be a winter project. I'm defo going to get the Ohlins Shock serviced in Nov and a few other essential jobs done whilst it's laid up, but can't really justify a repaint. :(

Hi Steve, yes it would be great if somehow a get together could be organised this Autumn.
We'd need to know the spread of owners to fix a location suitable to all concerned, of course. A possibility could be one of the favourite weekend bikers meets perhaps.
I'm Nr Cambridge, by the way, and I do know a very good paint shop locally!
Are there any ride outs/rallies organised on this site?
    Mike

I was thinking in 2018 the 50th anniversary would become the 70th anniversary and therefore worthy of a meet, not just between the VFRs but all those Hondas built to commemorate this milestone. In the meantime though a VFR meet would be great.
My participation on this forum, and in deed the ride outs and meets, has been much reduced since my son came along in 2010 and my bike became my daily commuter during the spring, summer and autumn months. I still take care of it mechanically and have just resprayed the forks lowers after new seals and fluid were fitted but the bodywork is in need of something beyond my capabilities.

I know Ely quite well as my former girlfriend had some family there and we would often visit them back in the early 90's. One of the lads we knew was a keen biker too but that was before I'd passed my test.

There are plenty of ride outs arranged via this site just checkout the other forum topics to the site. There's bound to be something going on in your neck of the woods you can turn up to.

A 2018 meet sounds great idea.

I know it is a bit far south for some but the RS Performance base at Stow Maries would be a great location and could include a visit to the Dave Silver Honda Collection.

Well there's plenty of time to get something sorted. The southern venue suggested would make sense and gives us 'Oop North/Scotland' an excuse to use our bikes as Honda intended.
Once a date has been firmed up and agreement from the other owners has been received then I'll aim to complete my mini restoration as per the splendid job done on no 33 to coincide with the event.

    Introducing myself

    Hello
I have just purchased no33 RS Performance VFR. Mike, the previous owner and I did the deal last Saturday, and can say the bike is better in the metal than in the photos, and feels very well sorted, you did a great job Mike.
The RS joins a VFR800 official anniversary that I have owned for 3 years. The RS will be used as often as work commitments will allow. Both VFR's will be located in Torquay and Redditch Worcestershire.
    Many thanks Steve

Nice one Steve and welcome aboard.
Best real world bike for the road but I may be slightly biased.

    Thanks Steve,
We have just moved from Redditch to Luston, little village between Leominster and Ludlow, on the Hereford / Shropshire border if any one is in the area for a meet up.
